Tips to drive safely during monsoon
Monsoon season has arrived. In Pakistan, heavy rain causes massive urban flooding and uncovered manholes, which results in severe inconveniences and accidents.
Therefore, to prepare yourself and safely drive during rain, read below the precautions to save lives:
- Avoid parking under/billboards as they can fall from the strong winds and heavy showers.
- Check the battery charge.
- Don’t drive on the flooded road, as you never know if it contains potholes or an uncovered manhole that is overflowed.
- Check the wiper’s blades to see clearly during rain.
- Check to ensure the hazard lights, indicators, and headlights are all functional.
- Avoid overspeeding, especially if riding a bike, as it can easily slip on a wet road.
