Karachi’s electrocution cases: 145 deaths are recorded at home
Karachi is the largest city in Pakistan, with a highly populated demographic of around 16 million.
Electrocution in Pakistan is a dire issue that has to be considered. But unfortunately, the lack of awareness shows that electrocutions tend to happen by people’s negligence.
According to Mehfooz Pakistan’s report, 388 cases were reported in Karachi from 2019-21, of which 145 were recorded at home, half the total.
The causes are still ambiguous; the results are based on the deceased’s families, which state that the victim was electrocuted, fell unconscious while working at home, and was rushed to the hospital.
According to the report, this is well-understood electrocution caused by the lack of safety standards.
