Fragile structures of the buildings are prone to collapse

In Pakistan, the negligence toward dilapidated buildings is endangering people’s lives; the lack of maintenance has given rise to building collapse incidents.

The building collapse is not limited to the maintenance of old shabby buildings but the substandard material used in developing structures. Numerous cases in Pakistan reported are said to have been due to the fragile and low-quality materials. In addition, poor design concepts and a lack of testing before and after construction also play a pivotal role in such incidents.

According to Dawn news, safety codes for the construction of buildings are often ignored, and building collapses are common.

The authorities need to eradicate the corrupt practices, force the builders to follow the standard laws and educate students to bolster their skills to save the industry’s future.
